Books that contribute

For many years, Lindhardt og Ringhof have published debate books that contribute to discussions. The Danish publishing house wants to challenge social debates and put a personal touch on our conversations.

Strong stories

"We think that a book contributes to the debate with a different depth, because a book can do something different than, for example, radio and podcasts," says press consultant Johanne Boesdal. "It is also a criticism of our system, which the debate book is intended to contribute to."

Criticism of the system is actually the focus of two debate books that Lindhardt og Ringhof published in the autumn of 2024. Forsvarsløs by Peter Ernstved Rasmussen, who, with a personal basis, focuses on how the Danish defense in recent decades has become a magnet for scandals and layoffs. And then De Fortabte Sønner, where two brothers talk about their experience of growing up in the bible belt of Western Jutland as homosexuals. Two books that, in their own way, put a personal stamp on highly topical social debates.

Lindhardt og Ringhof will continue to publish books that can spark debate and that bring something to the table. And especially the personal angle, which Is seen in many genres of non-fiction, will continue to characterize the debate books.
