A digital helper during the workday
At Egmont, we have our own AI tool. It's a digital assistant that can enhance our creativity and productivity and solve tasks in our everyday work in a secure environment.
EgmontGPT is developed by Egmont's own IT department and is based on various AI models. The digital helper is implemented in a closed environment and is programmed to understand, learn from, and respond to employees' questions and tasks, while keeping Egmont's data protected.
EgmontGPT can assist with everything from translation and proofreading to processing and summarizing vast amounts of data, coding, debugging, and idea generation. Furthermore, Egmont IT has launched AI assistants and allows employees to create their own AI assistant. For example, the AI assistant "Harald" - named after our founder Egmont Harald Petersen - can answer Egmont-related inquiries ranging from details about our history to employee benefits and HR-related topics. Egmont’s IT Security Policy also has its own AI assistant, providing easy access to the rules we have for IT security.
"We offer a platform that our companies can use, with a wide range of features and models - both to disseminate the opportunity for everyone in Egmont to use this technology and to support the many different potential applications," says Henrik Amini, CIO at Egmont IT.
The further development of EgmontGPT occurs in collaboration with our companies and is supposed to support the streamlining of work processes by utilizing our own data and integration into business applications.
"We have chosen an Open Roadmap principle, which means we involve our companies and communicate openly about the features that are on the way into the platform. This has led to a good interaction between needs and the things we launch on the platform," says Henrik Amini.
