Entrepreneurship in Sweden's suburbs
At Egmont, we support young entrepreneurs in Sweden with donations and contributions from two of our agencies.
Egmont supports the Swedish organization BLING, which, in December 2024, held a major entrepreneurship competition for youth in vulnerable communities. The 'För-Orten'-competition which our agencies, Ingager and KAN, have contributed to since August, providing inspiration, guidance, and networking opportunities for the young entrepreneurial aspirants.
The competition received 530 applicants, and 250 teams went to bootcamp. It all culminated in a grand finale show in Stockholm, where the winners of SEK 100,000 in start-up capital for their business were found.
"Ingager has been involved since the beginning of 'För-Orten', where we have created a new network of people, we didn’t know beforehand. BLING and 'För-Orten' are committed, they create ripples in the water, and they really make an impression on the community," says Jimmy Jakobsson, CEO and founder of Ingager.
