With more than 300 employees, performance marketing agency s360 has grown from humble beginnings in an attic in the heart of Aarhus 12 years ago to a company with nine offices in six countries. s360 helps a wide range of national and international companies with digital sales and transformation.
s360 helps its customers become visible and sell online by combining knowledge of digital marketing on Google, Facebook and other platforms with data and technology. Jakob Vedel founded s360 with Mathias Hillerup, and the two childhood friends from West Jutland are still at the helm as CEO and CCO, respectively.
“Back then, there were lots of companies doing the same thing as us, so it was about being one per cent better than them every day. It probably has something to do with the West Jutland toughness or ‘grit’. We don’t give up. It’s part of our culture and values and a mindset that we and our employees come to work with every single day,” says Jakob Vedel.
Adaptability is key in a rapidly changing digital industry where half of the jobs s360 did five years ago do not exist today. Through investments in data and technology, the company has transformed from being a marketing agency to a full-service performance marketing agency that is ready to adapt and seize new opportunities.
“We have frontrunners who are curious and experiment with AI, but it’s important to have frontrunners within all business areas and systemise it so that we have a common thread in the way we work and don’t develop in a million different directions.”
Today, s360 works with many of the largest advertisers in Northern Europe and has expanded to several countries.
“We could have had a great business as a Danish agency. But over time, many of our largest customers have expanded to more markets, and we would no longer be the ideal partner if we remained too local,” says Jakob Vedel.
In 2017, s360 partnered with Egmont and is now part of Story House Egmont’s portfolio of agencies.
