All of Egmont is a foundation and therefore has no owners. Through our Charter of Foundation, we have a strong commitment to give back to society. All profits therefore go to developing our media and helping children and youth at risk.
Egmont H. Petersen’s Fond was founded on 31 March 1920 to fulfil a last wish of our founder Egmont Harald Petersen; that part of the company’s profits should be used to help children and families in need. His widow, Elisabeth, and their five children, Dagmar, Axel, Inger, Karen and Holger, therefore established the Egmont H. Petersen’s Fond – generally known as the Egmont Foundation. Since then, in parallel with our media business, we have helped thousands of children and families. Today with a focus on supporting the children and young people who struggle the most to complete an education and pursue a good life.
