Story House acquires Danish e-commerce company AndLight
Royal Design Group, owned by Egmont, now strengthens its position in high-end lighting and interior with the acquisition of AndLight.
Stockholm based Royal Design Group has acquired the successful e-commerce company AndLight, focusing on high-end lighting and interior. AndLight has in recent years seen high growth and is currently present in 17 markets across Europe with local web shops in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Austria, Poland, France and the UK.

We have proven that we through talent management, entrepreneurial spirit and love for high-end lighting and interior can build a successful e-commerce business. Royal Design Group is one of the larger online players in the Design & Interior category in the Nordics and Europe and had its best year ever in 2021 with a revenue of SEK 1.3bn. AndLight will continue as an entity under the Royal Design Group umbrella which also comprises RoyalDesign and Rum21. The acquisition of AndLight will bring expert knowledge in lighting into Royal Design Group and make Royal Design Group an even stronger partner for brands. As part of the Nordic media group Egmont, Royal Design Group can offer brands a range of possibilities for storytelling and branding through many different media channels and agencies in combination with strong sales.

Founder Chris Høiriis, CEO Mads Saabye Jørgensen and CMO Gustav Lauritzen will continue in AndLight following the sale of the company to Royal Design Group.
